Auckland, New Zealand – Vesper Marine, a leading manufacturer of innovative marine safety products, announced today that Total Marine Supply LLC (TMS) has been appointed as their sales representative for the US Midwestern States surrounding the Great Lakes. Vesper Marine is experiencing growing demand from commercial service vessels and pleasure boaters from the USA and Canada in the Mississippi and the Great Lakes region. Total Marine Supply LLC will work closely with key marine distributors and dealers, OEM boat-builders, aftermarket boatyards, and marinas in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio to promote Vesper Marine products.

Unlike ordinary AIS that only sends and receives AIS signals, smartAIS transponders have built-in safety alarms that proactively warn boaters of potential collision situations, a dragging anchor, or a man overboard. With WiFi capability, users can remotely control their smartAIS from anywhere on board using a smartphone or tablet. A new addition is Vesper Marine's deckWatch App that enables smartAIS alarms on smartwatches along with navigation and collision warnings. Vesper Marine smartAIS transponders include WatchMate Vision2, a fully standalone touchscreen transponder, and XB-8000, a black box transponder. smartAIS transponders are automatically updated with the latest features directly from a smartphone or tablet enhancing the user experience and the lifetime of these devices.
