Auckland, New Zealand Vesper Marine, a leading manufacturer of innovative marine safety products, announced today the success of its on-the water demo event at the 2013 NMEA Convention. Held this year in San Diego, California at the Sheraton Harbor hotel, the annual electronics trade convention brings together leading dealers and industry press, and served as the perfect venue for showcasing Vesper’s cutting-edge AIS solutions. Demonstrations were given on Final Straw – a Mason 54’ sailboat – on September 27th and 28th, and featured an in-depth, hands-on presentation of the company’s WatchMate Vision and XB-8000 products, and included a discussion of the company’s ground-breaking work with its Virtual AIS Beacon and the America’s Cup organization. A dozen dealers and writers from 10 boating publications took part in the event.
“We’re extremely pleased to have had the opportunity to host such a wonderful cast of industry-leading dealers and media for our on-the-water demos at this year’s NMEA convention,” said Jeff Robbins, CEO, Vesper Marine. “Our relationship with NMEA, its member dealers and supporting press has been a tremendous value to Vesper Marine, helping us to strengthen our dealer network and customer support in the United States. We support NMEA standards and benefit from them.”
