Drumbeat Selects WatchMate-RX

Drum Beat (ex. Salperton)

An AISWatchMate RX was recently installed in the 174' luxury sailing yacht Drumbeat (ex Salperton). Designed as a high-performance luxury ketch by the renowned Dubois Naval Architects and built by Alloy Yachts, Drumbeat was one of the largest pleasure craft ever built in New Zealand at the time of her launch in 2002. Drumbeat has since undergone a refit in 2006.

The AISWatchMate RX allows the crew of Drumbeat to monitor AIS traffic and provides pertinent and prioritized information about vessels within range. As an alternative to using the Class A transceiver on board, the dual channel, high performance receivers of the AISWatchMate RX allow the crew to efficiently track all AIS-equipped traffic.

The dedicated AIS WatchMate Rx display has an easy-to-use interface, yet provides advanced collision warning and sophisticated features and filters to keep crew and passengers safe while on the water.
