AISWatchMate's have significant installation advantages over other AIS Displays and “Black Box” AIS devices these include;

• The WatchMate’s physical size is small relative to other AIS displays.
• Each WatchMate uses industry standard connectors for VHF, GPS and NMEA connections.
• The external GPS antenna is small, has multiple mounting options and has a small connector making it easy to run the cable through small drill holes.  With the AISWatchMate 850 Transponder the internal GPS antenna may be all you need making it even easier to install.
• The AISWatchMate 850 Transponder can be powered and configured anywhere on a laptop via the USB cable unlike other products that need a 12volt power supply.
• There are both flush and bracket mount options for the WatchMate and come as standard with each unit.
• WatchMate’s can be powered by either 12 or 24 volts.
