AIS WatchMate for Power Boats
Whether you are power cruising the coast or voyaging across oceans the AISWatchMate family provides a dedicated collision avoidance system which is intuitive and very easy to use.
Being a dedicated AIS device gives you peace of mind that comes from knowing you've got a reliable and independent system. Of course you can interface it with your other on-board AIS compatible electronics, such as radars, chart plotters and computers, but none of these are required for its use.
AIS is on-board nearly all ships but more and more leisure and charter power boats are also choosing to fit AIS transponders. All our WatchMate products are designed to take the clutter off your chart plotter and be fully standalone and dedicated.
For an easy to use, and fully integrated Class B AIS transponder, check out our AISWatchMate 850 Transponder. It's the easiest AIS transponder to install, has a built-in GPS and even has a USB connection for your computer. However, it can also be easily interfaced to existing chart plotters, radars and computer navigation systems and can act as an NMEA data multiplexer as shown in the example below.

| " We didn’t have any idea the WatchMate would be as useful as we have learned at helping to integrate NMEA on the boat, and then output that in an easy to use format. This has been a pleasant surprise. We're excited to have the addition information provided by the AIS WatchMate to increase the level of prudent & safe navigation. Again, I can't say thanks enough for the great product with so many intelligent features built in as standard " James Gray – Maryland, USA |
If you already have an AIS transponder, the AISWatchMate 670 makes an excellent dedicated transponder display head or second station and it works with any AIS transponder. In addition, it continuously monitors for any problems, such as antenna issues or transmitter failures, and reports them to you immediately.
All AIS WatchMate transponders and receivers meet the stringent international AIS standard IEC 62287 and are purpose built for harsh marine environments. They are fully waterproof, have transflective easy to read displays even in direct sunlight and importantly display AIS information in the easiest format to read and take action on.
